  • When these first showed up in my hometown about a year and a half ago, I immediately fell in love. You'd be surprised how much the service has improved since then -- the machines are a lot better and the online service is fairly new.

  • I don't have an HDTV and neither do most Americans. Tivo's definitely aiming for a niche that exists, but it's not going to be a big seller.

  • I've gotta agree with Steve on this one. Sure, it records sound, but it's nothing like GarageBand. Personally, I end up using Audacity on WinXP 'cause it's the best free solution I've found for recording podcasts. If anybody knows something better though I'd love to hear about it.

  • Maybe it's just me, but Nancy Grace comes across as manipulative and insensitive in this whole thing. She shows no real remorse that a woman killed herself because of a televised verbal-assault she executed. That's not cool at all.
